EDUATING FOR A
GLOBALIZED WORLD IN THE ENGLISH CLASSROOM
Global
education is one that opens the eyes and minds of the people to the realities
of the globalized world, and wakes them up so that they achieve a world of
greater justice, equity and human rights for all.
Since 1994,
when the government introduced the National Education Law, school and
university actors have witnessed the continuous transformation of the
educational system in Colombia. So being bilingual in a global world is
essential. being able to communicate better; understand other contexts;
appropriate and circulate knowledge; understand and be comprehensible to
others.
As
a result of the numerous ties of interdependence among countries, the world in
which we live has evolved to enter in a globalized system. The global
economy, geopolitical and social relations, the the means, transport,
communication and modern technologies allow a fast flow of information.
Global education should help that students and
individuals in general addressed the topics with an open and critical mentality
that reflect on their own thoughts and consider their opinions in light of new
evidence and rational arguments.
Hi Diego, I was wondering if you understood the parameters of this task, because this title is is one of those which the teacher had given us. In this write you had to present the topic, why you chose it, who is the audience, if it is relevant to our field.Any way I like the topic, if you maybe want some help, you know you can count with mine.
ReplyDeleteHi again my friend: I was rereading your text and I also suggest you to look the tittle has a typing mistake I think "EDUATING" because you missed the letter "C": EDUCATING. Be careful also with the capital letters. Take care.
